Youth Pastor
Overview:
The Youth Pastor will oversee and coordinate all Junior High and High School ministries of the church in accordance with the goal and aim set by the Senior Pastor and Deacons. This individual should possess evidence of a solid and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Candidates should meet the requirements for elders from Scripture (I Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-16).
Job Description:
⢠Enlist and equip a team of volunteers to lead youth ministries and invest in the lives of students through our AWANA, Sunday School, and Regular Service programs.
⢠Develop Student Leadership within the ministry in which students are learning to be the church and invest in people around them.
⢠Develop and execute an annual calendar of events that works in symmetry within the overall Student Ministry.
⢠Create ongoing large and small group environments, mission trips, camps, and outreach events.
⢠Successfully develop and nurture relationships with students, volunteers, parents, church staff and other adults who impact the lives of students.
⢠Serve as the primary Teaching Pastor for this ministry.
⢠Communicate the Gospel and biblical principles in a creative and culturally relevant manner to students.
Qualifications:
⢠A Christian who seeks to live above reproach.
⢠Training/experience in youth ministries. A bachelorās degree is preferred.
⢠Agreement with the āStatement of Faithā, āBeliefsā, and āChurch Ordinancesā of Crosspointe Church.
⢠Ability to lead, organize, and supervise.
⢠Proficient in church software, such as Planning Center & Proclaim. Or able to learn.
⢠Self-starter; self-motivated.
⢠Teachable.
Salary & Benefits:
⢠The Senior Pastor & the Finance Team shall prepare a budget request for the compensation of the Youth Pastor and submit recommendations to the Deacon Board.
